With a 500g fill weight, the Torpedo 500 is a classic Alpine mountaineering bag. Suitable for most summer mountaineering in ranges up to 16,000’ (5000 m), the 500 can not only be pushed into the shoulder periods of spring and autumn at lower altitudes, but actually is a very useful bag for non-mountaineering activities such as back-country hiking, trekking or travelling. Care & Attention

Down is a very resilient insulating material and with basic care, any down sleeping bag should last you a very long time (if not your entire active climbing life).

There are two simple rules to ensure longevity:
1. Always store your sleeping bag uncompressed in a dry, airy place
2. Try to keep it as clean as possible to minimize washing (this ultimately damages the down).

NEVER machine wash an eVent-shelled down sleeping bag. We highly recommend you hand wash your down sleeping bag or, alternatively, use a professional service. You can download washing instructions here.

Delivery & Returns

All our products are shipped with FedEx for quick, reliable and secure delivery. As most of our products are quite large and/or of high value, they will require a signature. We cannot deliver to P.O. boxes. All orders are dispatched the next working day after receipt (Monday to Friday). Typical delivery times are 2-3 days.
